Welcome to the East Sussex Bach Choir
The East Sussex Bach Choir is based in Lewes and is directed by John Hancorn. We are drawn together by a shared love of singing baroque, classical and modern music. In developing our musical identity, we have formed lasting working relationships with professional singers of international standing including our president Sir John Tomlinson CBE. A major attraction of singing with the choir is our longstanding relationship with the Baroque Collective, a group of professional musicians of immense repute.
A sublime concert at St John sub Castro Church, Lewes
Under the baton of John Hancorn, the Choir attacked CPE Bach’s Magnificat, a work of challenge and excitement and rarely performed.
