Welcome to the East Sussex Bach Choir
The East Sussex Bach Choir is based in Lewes, East Sussex and is committed to the performance of works from the baroque and early classical periods, but is also proud of its versatility in performing music of all types.
Our 25th anniversary season has just fineished with our performance o fthe St matthew Passion on Good Friday in St Bartholomews church in Brighton
We were delighted that our President, Sir John Tomlinson joined us to sing the part of Christus and he was joined by Sarah Connolly, Andrew Griffiths, Elin Manahan Thomas, Robert Davies , Samuel Boden and The Baroque Collective led by Alison Bury.Members of the BREMF singers joined the choir to form the 2 choirs required .
Next concert
We will be taking part in 2 performances of The Phaoenix Cantata by Helen Glavin.
On the 19th May the performance will take place in the Phoenix Gallery in Lewes and on 20th May the second performance will take place in St. Mary’s Church, Rock Garden’s Brighton as part of the Brighton Fringe Festival.

Open Workshop
On 16th June we will be holding an open workshop on Handel’s Dixit Dominus and Vivaldi’s Magnificat. If you are interested in joining the choir do come to the workshop.
